I am a Certified Personnel Consultant and am based out of Milwaukee, WI where I have been working in HR for over 5 years. I am a huge social media fan and have learned how to use them not only for personal use but also for business use. While not working I do HR Consulting on the side, which is what I am doing now since being released from my previous employer in January of this year. These projects have been all over Wisconsin and Northern Illinois and I am willing to travel farther. I have experience working with startup firms to firms with over a thousand employees. The HR Consulting projects that I have worked on have been in all sorts of fields with the majority of them being in Healthcare/Senior Living and manufacturing.
I am an expert in many areas of HR but there are two that I am a specialist in: Corporate Compliance (handbooks, policies and procedures, etc.) and Recruiting. In my previous position I oversaw all corporate and external recruiting and employment consulting for our clients. I was responsible for all new employee orientations, paperwork, etc. While I was there I managed a staff of three recruiters and trained them. When the economy started to shift the company had four major clients completely shut their doors and I was released shortly after. I am very successful at recruiting (Turnover ratio is 3% over the past 4 years) and want to help businesses develop a solid recruiting plan that works!
In lines of corporate compliance – this in my book includes handbooks, policies and procedures, etc. I have developed 4 new handbooks since January for businesses and have revamped several others.
I also have experience in employee relations, union prevention, FMLA, benefits, payroll, time and attendance, and some safety but I am not an expert.
